Inception.
- It's only when we wake up that we realise something was actually strange.I know it's way overdue, but since Inception was such an awesome movie, here's my review on it! :D First official movie review ever~
Inception is the penetrating of the dream world, and to make it more complicated, it involves entering a dream in a dream. As the investigators venture deeper into a person's mind to implant a certain idea into his subconscious mind, the barrier between their own conscious and subconscious minds becomes thinner, and the risk of bringing in the subconscious without intending to becomes higher.
It was a complicated movie, but really intriguing and definitely a great one. The director so boldly chose the topic of "dreams", where up till today, has been a real mystery to man. When we dream, our brains are working, but is it actually the conscious mind that is working? If not, then what actually builds up these dreams - the details, the situation, the place, the time? When we wake up, sometimes we instantly forget our dreams, but sometimes the dreams stay in our memory. Like I said, dreams are a mystery. And I think one reason Inception was such a good movie is because of the intepretation of the dream world as another reality (which isn't actually real).
I found the storyline really interesting, and the prospect of totums was really smart. My heart clenched when, at the end of the movie, the top didn't seem to stop spinning, but yet it was already wavering. The blackout left us hanging, to make us assume for ourselves whether the happy ending was actually real or not. If the happy ending was real, then great. But what if it wasn't?! :/ That would mean that Dom was in a dream, and that he didn't actually get back to his children, which was what he desired the most. And yet he went through all that trouble, all those life-risking moments in order to achieve this desire! Seriously, if the top didn't stop spinning I would cry :( But well, I guess the ending was also part of why the movie was so good, even though before watching the movie myself I heard others telling me "THE ENDING SUCKS!" Haha.
Yeah, so that pretty much sums up my thoughts on Inception. A really good movie, and I won't mind paying for the DVD myself 8D
Just now was kinda freaky because I know Daniel's supposed to be in OB Sabah right now but I SAW HIM ONLINE ON MSN! :O I had this "can't believe your own eyes" kind of feeling, and I thought I was dreaming or something ._. But turned out when I talked to him he didn't reply and eventually went offline, so I think it wasn't him who was online on his account? Probably his parents or something I guess... Haha, that was an interesting encounter :) But my heart really jumped when I saw his account set to "online" on MSN just now. I really thought he was online... :( It's only Day 1, and I'm already having that little glimmer of hope inside of me that he would come online and talk to me...
Day 1 has been... well nothing much really. Just random moments of emoing here and there, though my friends at church said many times that I was very quiet today... :( Well they know the reason why... And I have a sudden craving for an iTouch. ._. It's more than 300 bucks, don't think I'll be able to actually save up that much money. I've only barely started on the scrapbook, HAHA. Really want to get started on it, but I spent more than an hour on it yesterday and I didn't even manage to finish one page of it :O Well it's okay, I'm going to put in all my effort, because I know it'll be worth it :)
Can't believe there are still 8 days to go. EIGHT DAYS. How am I ever going to get through this alive... :( And I'm scrapping the idea of going to Bishan library tomorrow. Maybe another day. I want to come back home tomorrow ASAP so I can continue doing my scrapbook :)
