Extraordinary.

Recently I've realised how distant I've put myself from God. I realised this emptiness I felt inside, and no matter how I tried, I could never fill this emptiness with anything. Not with earthly possessions, not with doing things I enjoy, not with anything. Then I looked at Twitter, and I saw how everyone was so faithful to God. And I realised then: I haven't been keeping in touch with God. I haven't said a simple prayer of thanksgiving for everything, and whenever I was in doubt, I never looked to Him for advice. I've somewhat locked myself away from Him. And that - the absence of God in my life - was causing the emptiness in my heart.
I feel bad for not doing devotion faithfully. I feel bad for being caught up in the world. When I was alone, I realised that loneliness isn't exactly a bad thing. Sometimes, God brings you into loneliness so that He's the only one you can talk to. And in loneliness, that's what I did. I felt guilty. I plead for forgiveness.
I am a child of a merciful, wonderful, forgiving and extraordinary God. I'll never forget that. :) I'm so grateful for Him, and I will never turn away from Him again. At times when I am most down, I'll remember to turn to Him, because He knows me better than myself. He knows how I feel, He is the only one who can really talk to me, especially in my times of need. I love God! :)
I'm craving for a new Bible. ._.
"I'll plant your roots deep in the land I have given you, and you won't ever be uprooted again." - Amos 9:15To worship God you must go beyond words to speak with your heart. You can mouth the words of a prayer all day long and just waste your time, unless you also speak with your heart and to speak with your heart means to embody first. If you pray for love, be loving. If you pray for wealth, be generous. If you pray for health, practice health yourself.
