Wandering Road.
Recently went for a concert at the Esplanade by OMM, called "Windflower: Gabriel Ng Plays Elgar" on 17 June.
Gabriel is only 17 years old this year, and he's so talented in the violin! As he played Elgar's violin concerto, it really made me think about how I compare with him. I think, compared to him, I really was much less adventurous. I didn't dare to go out to develop my musical talent. Rather, I chose to grow up the "traditional" way, that is to go through primary school, high school, and next, JC. What's in store for me in the future? Of course, I really leave it up to God to determine it, but I'm just wondering...
Yesterday's CCA session was really slack, and we pretty much didn't practise anything at all! The first half was in the auditorium, where we played games for the whole time, mainly hide-and-seek and Guess Who. Playing hide-and-seek in the auditorium was really exciting, especially since my conductor chose me to be the first seeker -.- I had to go to every corner in the auditorium to look for hiding people, and had to chase people around in the auditorium and on the stage... Seriously tiring haha and now my thighs are aching!
Afterwards our conductor became the seeker, and he must seriously be the fastest conductor alive or something ._. Because he runs really fast! And he's really agile too; at one point he jumped over the toilet cubicle to catch those people who locked themselves inside :O
After lunch was exco elections, and congratulations to the new exco! :) Really hope they can bring our ensemble to greater heights! Felt really happy for them that day, but when I went home things turned ugly... I shan't say anything here. I just know that words that come from people who aren't believers of Christ will just drop onto the ground, whereas words from believers can be used to be rid of our negative emotions :) When I see them, I can't resist but smile. You know why? Because I have something which they don't and probably never will: GOD. And knowing Him inevitably puts me at such a higher stand compared to them. I'm proud of my God!
