China.
I'm back from China! After 8 days in the cold weather, I realised how much I miss Singapore's weather and I've made up my mind that I'd rather be very hot than very cold, because it's easier to stay cool than to stay warm HAHA. Plus I've got a cold rash from the cold (obviously)... Now that I'm back in Singapore I hope my skin will heal quickly! The trip wouldn't have been fun if it weren't for my church friends whose families we went together with. Two families to be exact. Without them, I would probably have been bored and complaining during the course of the whole trip (other than the shopping parts). I LOVE GOD'S FAMILY. :)
The 8-day trip just flew by; I can't even clearly remember what happened each day now. But all the memories remain :) The trip was filled with lots of laughter, games and friendship, the best thing that you could have in a holiday. So even though China itself wasn't that great at some points, my friends and I looked out for one another, took care of one another and created memories together. We've definitely grown closer over the past week.
During the trip we went to places mostly in the South region of China, such as 桂林, 广州, 广东, 阳朔, amongst other places. 桂林 was already the most North place. The weather there was a nice change from Singapore's weather at first, but after one day it became way too cold for me haha. So basically I was shivering for the whole duration of the trip, until I got out of Changi Airport this morning. Our tour guide was 蒋樱俊 and she's so nice!! I really miss her now ): She's very fun to talk to and very knowledgeable; she's probably the best tour guide I've ever had.
I feel so guilty because I bought so many things during the trip... Well all of them added together didn't cost as much as it would in Singapore, because China goods are cheaper (plus you can bargain), but I think I bought the most stuff out of everyone in my family :x I bought shoes, 2 bags, 2 bracelets, 2 necklaces, a dress, 6 keychains and a wallet. Damn, that's a lot. :/ Well at least I've bought most things I need... for now. I'll definitely miss the fact that the price of items can be haggled... that's impossible in Singapore. After you get over the fact that you make the shopkeepers lose some money by bargaining for a lower price, it actually feels quite good to get something so cheap. Everything I bought from there cost S$20 or less (other than my new Converse shoes).
Missing my church friends already, can't wait to see them tomorrow again! :) Photos will be up soon!

“'Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.' Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, 'Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.'” Luke 2:11-14 (NIV)
