When All These Ends.
Cross Country school event this afternoon, and all I can say that the timing for everything was really apt. While people were running the mass run halfway, there was a sudden downpour. How interesting that the rain didn't fall before the race started, but instead only when most people have finished running. Today was memorable not because of the run, but because of how our whole batch was braving through the downpour happily and with little complaint. Okay maybe there were a lot of complaints but we all pulled through together anyway. :)
I ran competitive together with Louise, Liuyi and Isobel from HCSE, sadly didn't win anything though... The feeling of running cross-country twice in the span of three days is quite awesome. :D It's been a while since I'd exercised so much. Definitely had that sense of satisfaction today after running it the second time. The path was familiar, and I even slipped at the same places. -.- Didn't fall though, fortunately.
Yesterday was spent at the Cross Country nationals together with all the Council elects, cheering the runners on. It was a first experience for me, because personally I've never been to national competitions to cheer before, or rather I've never been to any sports competition to cheer other than, say, HCNYATFM. Although we didn't have a lot of chances to cheer loud cheers for the runners, whenever we saw them run past us we just cheered them on. Hope they were appreciative of that because if I were them, I'd definitely love the support from schoolmates. It was wonderful how all the Council elects were so united during this event, putting aside all our differences, like we're one big Hwachong family. :) It was so sad that when we went back to school though everyone just went their own separate ways again.
Have been having a lot of fun throughout this week, perhaps too much fun. Still keeping up with work, hopefully will be able to prioritise time better from Term 2 onwards now that everything is pretty much settled down in school. Need to read up more (a lot more) and need to get serious with work. PW is beginning to be a real pain in the neck, now that the topics are out. Starting to understand why all the J2s are so glad that they don't have PW any more. Really need to think out of the box for this subject but sadly my brain seems to be enveloped permanently in this imaginary box. Deadlines have also been laid out for us already, so things may begin to be done in a rush. Hopefully things will go well nonetheless! If the J2s got through their J1 year, so can we!
